OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy is simple: Aloha is Joie de Vivre.

For us, food is more than something you eat—it’s a moment of passion, fun, and genuine enjoyment. It’s about sharing, connecting, and creating memories.

We welcome you with love, acceptance, and pride in our café, where everyone has a place at the table

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to never compromise on quality while supporting our local community.

We are committed to sourcing the best ingredients possible, prioritizing local and organic products whenever we can. Our coffee is locally roasted with Traditions Coffee Roasters, our organic honey comes from Nalo Meli Hawaii, and our fresh vegetables are sourced from D. Otani.

We believe real food should be made the right way. That’s why our crêpe and waffle batters are homemade using only minimal, natural ingredients—no corn syrup, no industrial vegetable oils. Our pesto and balsamic dressing are also made in-house, from scratch.

Sustainability is part of everything we do. We use only compostable utensils and containers, and our strong logistics system allows us to prepare only what is needed, resulting in almost zero food waste.

Dining with us is like enjoying homemade food—simple, fresh, and made with care.

OUR HISTORY

Our story began in 2008, in the heart of Waikīkī, with a small kiosk and a big vision.

Over the years, we expanded beyond that first location, spending nearly a decade catering events and operating a food truck across Hawaiʻi. These experiences allowed us to grow, adapt, and continuously refine what we do. Step by step, we improved our recipes, expanded our offerings, and dedicated ourselves to mastering our craft.

Today, our menu reflects that journey. From crêpes and waffles to açaí bowls, coffee, panini, and smoothies, every item we serve is the result of years of testing, learning, and perfecting.

We also proudly operated a café for over 10 years at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, becoming part of the daily lives of students and the local community.

Our current café is located at Mānoa Marketplace, where we continue to serve with the same passion and commitment to quality. As we look ahead, we are actively working toward expanding back into Waikīkī and into other major cities.

What started small has grown through experience, resilience, and a constant pursuit of excellence—and we’re just getting started.

MEET THE OWNER

My name is Sufian Bouharkat—a happy human being and proud father of two wonderful kids. You’ll even find a piece of them in our café, as our waffles are named after Leila and Malik!

I was born in Oran, Algeria, and grew up in Paris, where a boulangerie was located on the first floor of my building. Growing up in that environment shaped my passion early—the smell of fresh bread, the rhythm of daily life, and the simplicity of honest, well-made food inspired me to one day create my own café.

One of my favorite books is Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. A quote that has always stayed with me is: “Si tu diffères de moi, loin de me léser, tu m’enrichis.” (our differences make us stronger)

To me, it reflects the beauty of human connection and differences.

When I arrived in Hawaiʻi, I discovered not only one of the most beautiful places in the world, but also a place of acceptance, warmth, and humility. It inspired me to contribute—not to take from the island, but to bring something meaningful to it.

Every day, I strive to offer our guests the best experience possible, with sincerity, passion, and respect for what we do.

Je vous aime. Aloha.

If you really want to experience Oahu get out of Waikiki and venture out to places like this awesome Cafe. The fruit in the crepes tastes like it was picked that morning. Don't miss out on this place!

Great Crepes Restaurant! We ordered Moulin Rouge Crepe and Chicken Mushroom Crepe, they were both delicious, a lot of meat and vegetables inside. If you like tomatoes and more juicy filling in crepes, then I recommend you to order the Moulin Rouge. Coffee was also great here, I ordered Mocha and it was good.

Le Crepe Cafe was a pleasant surprise. We took our family there for brunch. We had both savory and sweet crepes, and loved every one. The staff were very helpful and accommodated some gluten restrictions. Yes, they have a gluten-free crepe made with buckwheat.
